There are no critical damages to the cooling system at the Zaporozhye NPP after recent shelling from the Ukrainian side. This was announced on Thursday, September 22, by Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the regional administration.
“It (the cooling system) is not badly damaged, it’s just the water pipes through which water is supplied, there are no critical damages, everything works fine,” he said on the air. Channel One.
Rogov also added that the broken pipes are already being repaired. According to him, a large amount of water flowed out.
Zaporozhye NPP on the night of September 21 once again came under fire from Ukraine. As a result of an attack on a nuclear power plant, the communication equipment of the sixth power unit with an open switchgear was damaged. The high-voltage power line was also damaged.
