PETROPAVLOVSK. KAZINFORM – Governor of the North Kazakhstan region Kumar Aksakalov is confident that prices for most socially important food products in the region should be the lowest in the country, Kazinform correspondent reports.
At a meeting of the akimat, the head of the region noted that the harvesting campaign is coming to an end and it is necessary to replenish the stocks of the Stabilization Fund.
“The money has been allocated. Of the 19 positions of socially important food products, we produce 15. In our region, prices should be the lowest. It is clear that the markets are open. But our task is to produce more, buy for the Stabilization Fund and keep the lowest price. I think it’s possible. We managed to do it within a year. For many positions we have the lowest prices in the country. Not for all, but for the majority – that’s how it is,” K. Aksakalov said.
According to the regional akim, the autumn field work is coming to an end.
Some agro-formations showed grain yields of 35 centners per hectare, oilseeds – 15 centners per hectare. According to the results of eight months, the growth of indicators in the agricultural sector amounted to 9.7%, in crop production – more than 16%.
