Given the alleged presence of an explosive device in the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences of the UNAM reported by the C5 of Mexico City, the emergency protocol was activated to evict the university community, which turned out to be a false alarm.
To verify this situation, personnel from Civil Protection, Firefighters, University Security of the General Directorate of Analysis, Protection and University Security appeared. During the inspection, the authorities determined that “no explosive object was found.”
Face-to-face academic activities were suspended today in that Faculty and will resume tomorrow, Saturday, September 24 for the academic and student community of the Open University and Distance Education System.
In a statement, the UNAM indicates that in the case of the School System, activities will resume normally next Monday, September 26.
