Two killed in helicopter crash in Turkey

DENIZLI. ANADOLU – KAZINFORM – Governor of Denizli province in western Turkey Ali Fuat Atik said that a helicopter involved in extinguishing a forest fire crashed near the village of Chardak. It is reported by MIA “Kazinform” with reference to Anadolu.

Rescue teams have been dispatched to the scene.

The mayor of Çardak, Hyusnu Yilmaz, noted that a fire helicopter crashed in the town of Acigel.

According to the latest data, as a result of the helicopter crash, 2 people were killed and five were injured.

The Turkish Interior Ministry said that of the seven people on board the helicopter, five were Russian citizens.
