They want to create a national body for professional qualifications in Kazakhstan

ASTANA. KAZINFORM – The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan plans to establish a three-level management model for the National Qualification System (NQS), Kazinform correspondent reports.

“A three-level NSC management model is being laid. First level – National Council for Vocational Qualificationswhich will become a single decision-making center responsible for the strategic management of the NSC,” Vice Minister Olzhas Ordabayev said during the presentation of the bills “On Professional Qualifications” and “On Amendments and Additions to Some Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Professional Qualifications” in Majilis.

Second level – industry councils for professional qualifications under state bodies. They will play a leading role in the development of sectoral qualifications systems, being responsible for providing their industry with professionally qualified personnel.

The third level is expected creation of the National Authority for Vocational Qualifications, whose competence will include the functions of providing methodological and expert support for the NSC.

Previously reported that the bills “On professional qualifications” and “On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on issues of professional qualifications” were presented in the Majilis.
