The Russian stock market fell on September 23 by 4.61%

As a result of the main trades on Friday, the Russian stock market declined significantly. The fall by 4.61% occurred on fears amid the geopolitical situation, declining oil prices and the Friday factor, analysts say.

By the close of the main trades, the Moscow exchange index fell to 2089.87 points, the RTS dollar index – to 1141.81 points (-2.79%), writes RIA News. On the stock section of the Moscow Exchange, from 19:00 Moscow time to 23:50 Moscow time, an evening trading session is taking place, there has not yet been a significant change in price dynamics.

Over the week, the Moscow Exchange index fell by 14.18%, the RTS – by 10.45%. The Russian stock market at the beginning of the trading session on September 21 showed sharp drop on major indices and updated the minimum since February. This trend emerged after the Russian President’s appeal for partial mobilization.
