ASTANA. KAZINFORM – 800,000 student places will be introduced as part of the Comfortable School national project. This was announced by the Minister of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askhat Aimagambetov during a briefing at the site of the Central Communications Service in the video hosting YouTubethe correspondent of MIA “Kazinform” reports.
The Minister recalled that the Head of State had given instructions on the implementation of the National Project “Comfortable School”.
“Today, the shortage of student places in the country’s schools is over 200,000. According to forecasts, approximately by 2025, the total need will reach 1 million seats. As part of the national project, at least 800,000 student places will be introduced, which will completely solve the problem of their shortage, three-shift and emergency schools. When implementing the Comfortable School project, a unified standard for the construction and equipping of schools will apply. Schools opened under the project will be fully provided with modern subject rooms and laboratories. Educational areas will be increased in new schools,” said A. Aimagambetov.
According to him, the schools to be built as part of the national project will include educational laboratories, robotics classrooms, gyms, universal workshops and studios. There are separate blocks for elementary and high school students. Accordingly, they will be provided with separate gyms, canteens and classrooms.
