The Federation Council called the way how deputies and senators can participate in a special operation

State Duma deputies and members of the Federation Council may participate in a special military operation on their own initiative.

Vyacheslav Timchenko, head of the Committee on Regulations of the Upper House of the Russian Parliament, spoke about this. According to him, this category of civil servants has a deferment from conscription and mobilization. However, they can participate in a special operation if they have such a desire, the website of the Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper reports.

“No one can forbid them to make such a decision, since this is a voluntary matter. But in order to participate in a special operation, a deputy or a senator needs to take a vacation,” Timchenko concluded.

Previously “Expert” wrotethat the speaker of the lower house of the Russian parliament, Vyacheslav Volodin, spoke about guarantees for Russians who fell under the mobilization. In particular, he noted that decisions on credit holidays and the preservation of labor guarantees for such citizens will be made as a matter of priority.
