The Central Bank sharply lowered the dollar and euro rates (September 23, 2022)

The Bank of Russia set the official dollar exchange rate for September 24-26 at 58.1006 rubles, the euro at 56.4751 rubles. This follows from the information published on the website of the Central Bank.

Compared to the official rate set for September 23, the dollar has been downgraded by 1.7 rubles (from 59.8318), the euro by 2.46 rubles (from 58.9388).

As of 16:27 Moscow time on September 23, the dollar exchange rate in the currency trading of the Moscow Exchange decreased by 2.96%, to 57.09 rubles, the euro – by 3.33%, to 55.69 rubles.

The regulator also lowered the discount prices for precious metals: for gold – to 3,122.98 rubles per gram (from 3,215.84 rubles); for silver – up to 36.58 rubles / gram (from 37.53); for platinum – up to 1,701.73 rubles per gram (from 1,783.21); for palladium – up to 4,051.64 rubles per gram (from 4,176.21).
