Scientific projects presented to business within the framework of the dialogue platform

ASTANA. KAZINFORM – The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, represented by the Science Foundation, has jointly organized a specialized dialogue platform for the integration of science and business “Technology Commercialization Reactor”. This was reported by MIA “Kazinform” with reference to the press service of the department.

This meeting is the third dialogue platform between scientific institutions and business. In her welcoming speech, Abdilda Shamenova, Chairman of the Board of JSC Science Foundation, noted the practical effect of holding such events.

“According to the results of the last “Technology Commercialization Reactor”, held on June 17 of this year, 10 scientific projects found their potential business partners for joint implementation and attracted co-financing for a total amount of more than 500 million tenge. Today, each project will receive attention from business and production, and the outcome of the meeting will be agreements on further scaling the achievements of Kazakhstani science in the real sector of the economy,” said Abdilda Shamenov.

In the format of the event, scientific institutions were given the opportunity to attract potential business partners represented by portfolio companies of Samruk Kazyna JSC, NCE Atameken, business organizations in the field of subsoil use.

Several scientific projects were presented, including the production of standard grades of ferrosilicomanganese using ferromanganese ores and power-grade coals, the processing of oily waste using innovative technology, the organization of the production of metal catalytic converters for toxic components in gas emissions from vehicles, the development, creation and mass production of generators, etc. .

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached on joint activities between business enterprises and scientific organizations. At the end of the event, a memorandum was signed between JSC Science Foundation and De Montfort University Kazakhstan.
