Saudi Arabia plans to send a crew into space in 2023

NUR-SULTAN. KAZINFORM – Saudi Arabia today launched the first national manned space flight program, which aims to send two domestic astronauts into space in 2023. The crew will include a man and a woman. This was reported by the Saudi Press Agency, Kazinform reports with reference to the news agency. Xinhua.

According to the Saudi Arabian Space Commission, the program provides for the training of qualified candidates for long-term and short-term space flights, scientific experiments and research in areas such as healthcare, sustainable development and space technology.

Saudi Arabia is also planning to launch a National Space Strategy in the coming months, which will highlight the country’s space programs and initiatives aimed at serving humanity from space.
