The Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation proposed to increase the minimum wage (minimum wage) for 2023.
As RIA Novosti reports with reference to the press service of the department, it is proposed to increase the PM for 2023 to 14,375 rubles. per capita, and the minimum wage – up to 16,242 rubles.
The relevant draft laws were supported at a government meeting and will soon be submitted to the State Duma as part of the budget package.
At the same time, the ministry recalled that the size of the PM is used in the need assessment. In addition, the size of social payments depends on it. With an increase in this value, the amounts of payments for needy families with children, a social contract in a number of areas, as well as federal and regional social supplements to pensions, increase.
It is also specified that the increase in the subsistence minimum will increase monthly payments for 15 million citizens – families with children, pensioners and pregnant women.
Thus, the PM for the able-bodied population of Russia will be 15,669 rubles, for pensioners – 12,363 rubles, for children – 13,944 rubles. The annual growth of PM per capita will be 1,721 rubles, for the able-bodied population – 1,876 rubles, pensioners – 1,481 rubles, children – 1,670 rubles.
