Protest over the Ayotzinapa case leaves 39 elements injured in Military Camp 1

At least 39 security elements were injured when they were hit by some type of projectile during the attack by normalistas from Ayotzinapa on Military Camp No. 1, reported the Secretariat of Citizen Security.

The mobilization that was led by the parents of the 43 disappeared youths took place within the framework of the eighth anniversary of their being deprived of liberty on the night of September 26, 2014, presumably by the criminal group known as “Guerreros Unidos” with the complicity of the authorities of the three levels of government.

At first, the act took place calmly, however, as has been normal for the last four days, once the demands were concluded, the attacks against federal facilities began.

After what happened on Thursday at the Attorney General’s Office, where 11 elements were injured by the impact of firecrackers, the authorities carried out a deployment of

300 agents. 200 from the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC), 50 from the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena) and 50 from the National Guard (GN).

Of the attacks with pellets, stones and firecrackers, at least 39 of them were injured, according to the capital’s own police.

“As a consequence of the launching of artifacts by demonstrators, 39 elements were injured: 21 from the SSC (three of them were transferred to a hospital for medical evaluation), 13 from SEDENA and 5 from the GN. The security forces did not respond to any aggression, they only carried out containment tasks, thus avoiding any confrontation, ”he said in a statement.

On Monday, eight years after the disappearance of the young people, a new mobilization is scheduled to start from the Angel of Independence to the Zócalo.
