The collective armed forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) will conduct military exercises on the territory of Kazakhstan within the framework of “Interaction-2022”, “Search-2022” and “Echelon-2022”. The maneuvers will last almost two weeks – from September 26 to October 8. About this on Thursday, September 22, informs Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan.

According to the agency, military contingents of other states have already begun to arrive in the republic from today. They move by rail, by air and on wheeled military vehicles. Participants are expected to arrive in the country before September 30.

“During the movement of military contingents, issues of commandant service, air defense and comprehensive support will be worked out,” the country’s Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The CSTO includes six states. These are Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia and Tajikistan.

President of Russia back in May of this year announced joint military exercises with the CSTO in autumn. According to him, the number of joint maneuvers of the organization will only increase. In addition to Kazakhstan, military exercises are planned in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
