Mannik according to this recipe is prepared easily and quickly and from the simplest products that are always in the kitchen. According to the principle of Arabic and Turkish sweets, it is saturated with syrup, due to which its texture is very delicate.

Required Ingredients:

  • chicken egg – 3 pcs.;
  • semolina – 150 g;
  • natural yogurt – 150 ml;
  • sugar – 150 g;
  • butter – 100 g;
  • lemon peel – 1 pc.;
  • cherry – 500 g;
  • water – 100 ml;
  • lemon – 1 pc.

How to cook mannik with cherries in a hurry:

  1. Beat eggs with sugar. Add melted butter, yogurt, semolina, baking powder and flour.
  2. Peel the zest from the lemon and add to the batter. Beat all ingredients with a mixer until smooth.
  3. Pour the dough into an oiled baking dish.
  4. Rinse the cherries, pat dry and remove the pits. Press the berries into the dough halfway.
  5. Bake at 180°C for about 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  6. While the manna is baking, prepare the syrup. Squeeze out the lemon juice, pour into a saucepan, add 50 g of sugar, 100 ml of water and bring the syrup to a boil.
  7. Boil the syrup over low heat for 5 minutes.
  8. Remove the finished mannik from the oven and pour hot syrup from a spoon.
