The collective West, led by the United States, is openly seeking victory over Russia “on the battlefield” in Ukraine. This was announced on Wednesday, September 21, in an interview with the American magazine Newsweek by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

According to him, Washington and its allies are ready to sacrifice Ukraine for the sake of their geopolitical goals. Pumping up Kyiv with weapons prolongs the conflict and puts off the prospect of a settlement, Lavrov noted. transmits TASS.

Since March, the United States and Great Britain have not actually allowed Kyiv to conduct a dialogue with Russia, the Russian Foreign Minister said. “Since then, the Ukrainian authorities have shied away from the negotiation process,” Lavrov added.

The West supplies Ukraine with weapons that are used to kill civilians in Russian territories bordering Ukraine. According to the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the Pentagon does not hide that it is transmitting intelligence to Kyiv. On the battlefield are American mercenaries and advisers. “The US is essentially teetering on the brink of turning into a conflict,” the minister said.

Due to the persistent striving of the West, led by the United States, for global dominance, the situation in the world is deteriorating, Lavrov noted. And the “frantic reaction” of the United States and its allies to Russia’s special operation in Ukraine actually drew a line under a whole historical stage of Russia’s interaction with the West, the Russian minister said.

Earlier, Lavrov said that the longer postponement of the negotiation process Moscow and Kyiv, the more difficult it will be to agree. According to him, Russia does not refuse to continue negotiations.
