In the 1/8 finals, together with the Spanish tennis player Carlos Taberner, Skatov met with the Australian duet Akira Santillan – Brandon Wakin won in two sets with a score of 7:5, 6:4. The match lasted one hour and 14 minutes.

During the game, the Kazakhstani and the Spaniard did not perform a single serve right through and made two double faults, and also won eight points and three games in a row.

Earlier today Kazakh tennis player won singles match against Frenchman Manuel Guinard in straight sets.
