Vice-President of the Russian Union of Travel Industry Yuri Barzykin suggested where most Russians can spend their winter holidays. He pointed out that about 30% of all winter tourism is ski resorts, but mostly tourists will go to other places.

Russians in the field of ski tourism are attracted by the resorts of Krasnaya Polyana, Dombay, Elbrus, Sheregesh and Moscow region. A number of large winter resorts are also successfully operating in this region, where you can spend not only a vacation, but also just come for a weekend, informs “Radio 1” on Saturday, September 17th.

“If we talk about an earlier period, here many tourists will still try to capture the beach season within the country. Until mid-October, you can still swim in the Krasnodar Territory and in the Crimea. From October 1, the cost of housing will decrease by 10%, and until December 25, cashback program,” said Yuri Barzykin.

At the same time, most of the winter tourism will be provided by tours throughout Russia. Including the famous Golden Ring, Kaliningrad, Baikal, Sakhalin and Kamchatka.

“More than 80% of Russian tourists will travel around the country, the remaining 15% will go to Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Vietnam, Cuba and Venezuela. However, it will be most profitable to relax in the Moscow region,” Barzykin believes.

The Moscow region, as noted by Yuri Barykin, has a highly developed infrastructure.

“In addition to ski resorts in the Moscow region, there are spa hotels with swimming pools, holiday homes and much more. In addition, various cultural and educational tourism programs operate in the Moscow region,” he specified.

The expert believes that early booking is a necessary condition for a successful holiday in this region, since there are a lot of tourists coming here, especially on weekends and holidays.
