Highly dangerous terrorist detained at Istanbul airport

ISTANBUL. ANADOLU – KAZINFORM – One of the suspects of involvement in the terrorist attack organized in the Yuksekova district of Hakkari province in 2016 and killing three security officers was detained at the Istanbul airport. It is reported by MIA “Kazinform” with reference to Anadolu.

Rydvan Hozman, who is wanted on charges of involvement in the activities of the PKK terrorist organization, flew to Istanbul from Ankara on September 19 with a fake passport.

This became known after the Istanbul Airport Police tracked his location on CCTV cameras and took him into custody at the taxi rank. A fingerprint check revealed his involvement in the 2016 terrorist attack.

Hozman was sent to court, where the judge on duty issued a decision on the arrest.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said earlier that since 1984, when the PKK militants first carried out a terrorist attack in Turkey, thousands of members of the Turkish security forces, military and civilians have died at the hands of this bloody organization.

The United States and the European Union have designated the PKK as a terrorist organization.

In recent years, the PKK has sought to shift responsibility for the bloody crimes in the region to its offshoots.

In Syria, PKK terrorists cover themselves with the names PYD and YPG, and in the last two years they have called themselves the “Syrian Democratic Forces”.

In Iran, the PKK operates as the Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK).
