The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) is going to index the fares for passengers in reserved seat and shared carriages on long-distance trains by 6.52%. This became known on Thursday, September 22.

Rates will be raised from 1 October. In terms of one passenger, the additional load will be no more than 90 rubles. Due to the change in tariffs, the availability of rail transportation to the regions will improve. In addition, it will be possible to purchase modern rolling stock, informs Interfax.

The Federal Antimonopoly Service sets the price for travel in railway transport every year and changes it depending on calendar periods. Since the beginning of 2022, tariffs have been indexed by 4.3%.

As for compartment, SV and deluxe carriages, the system of dynamic pricing is involved here. The ticket price depends on the season and day of the week, as well as on demand and the number of seats sold. Tariffs in this segment also increased by 4.3% at the beginning of 2022.
