ASTANA. KAZINFORM – Kazakhstan needs the consolidation of the political forces of the society. This opinion was expressed by Mukhit Asanbayev, a leading researcher at the KazISS under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, commenting on the upcoming presidential elections, Kazinform correspondent reports.
“Elections full of new expectations and landmarks, aimed at large and significant goals and objectives for society and the state, will be held on November 20, 2022. Their main purpose is to reboot the political system of society. The new times call for urgent action. There are many of them on the agenda, enough to see in them the main mission – to purposefully proceed from the socio-political and socio-economic reality that our country entered with the holding of a referendum on the adoption of a package of constitutional amendments this summer. This is the essence of the ongoing reforms in general and, in particular, early presidential elections,” Mukhit Asanbayev said.
At the same time, according to the expert, with the appointment of the election date, the expectations of changes that were predicted at the beginning of the year by representatives of the expert community are increasing.
“As you know, even then the possibility of holding presidential elections this year, holding parliamentary elections next year was already discussed, in general, a scenario was predicted for intensifying political processes aimed at further implementing a larger package of political reforms. At the same time, the current political season began with the cultivation of a new political tradition in the country, without behind-the-scenes games in politics, with a clear vision and intention to form a more sustainable political model to ensure the stability and sustainability of Kazakhstan,” said a leading researcher at KazISS.
“As Head of State Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev stated, a new trust mandate of the people is needed for the successful implementation of comprehensive reforms on the path to creating a just Kazakhstan. This is the quintessence of the forthcoming presidential elections. They will become not only an impetus for the political process, but also a challenge for the current government, the results of which will become apparent as early as next year. In the meantime, Kazakhstan needs the consolidation of the political forces of society, unity and mutual understanding and the emergence of civil society and government to a new level. So, two months remain before the presidential elections, the range of tasks has been defined, the start of the electoral campaign has been announced,” Mukhit Asanbayev concluded.
Earlier it became known that the early elections of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan will pass 20 November. The corresponding Decree was signed by the Head of State.
