PETROPAVLOVSK. KAZINFORM – 56 people with coronavirus are under observation in the North Kazakhstan region. Of these, 13 were hospitalized in infectious diseases hospitals, Kazinform correspondent reports.
At a meeting of the akimat, Kumar Kusemisov, deputy head of the health department, said that a month ago there were 9.5 times more patients.
“From mid-March to early July, there were no patients requiring inpatient treatment. Since July 10, an increase in the incidence has been observed. The number of outpatients and hospitalizations increased daily. The first two weeks of August, the number of occupied beds increased from 40 to 62. Toward the end of the month, the incidence and hospitalization gradually decreased,” Kumar Kusemisov commented.
Daily hospitalization in infectious diseases hospitals decreased from 12 in mid-August to two people a day by mid-September.
Since April, no deaths from COVID-19 have been recorded in the region.
“Vaccination coverage by the first component in the region is 87% or 323,689 people, the second – 86%. Revaccination is a mandatory step in the ongoing fight against coronavirus infection. Now 286,323 people are subject to it. 210,708 people or 73% have been revaccinated,” said Kumar Kusemisov.
Earlier it was reported that 151 got sick and 2,672 people have recovered from coronavirus in Kazakhstan.
