China may open its borders as early as the end of 2022. This was stated by the head of the National Tourist Office of the People’s Republic of China in Moscow Wang Rui on Thursday, September 22.

“Continued cooperation between China and Russia is of great importance to us, and we see huge potential in the development of tourism in the Far East,” Wang Rui said during a speech at a forum in Khabarovsk. According to 2019 data, the Far Eastern regions are the most popular among Chinese tourists right behind Moscow and St. informs RIA News.

Now China does not allow foreigners to come for tourism purposes. You can only enter Hong Kong with a vaccination certificate, a negative COVID-19 test and a quarantine hotel reservation. In addition, upon arrival, it will be necessary to take an antigen test and undergo a seven-day isolation.
