Ayotzinapa normalists throw rockets and Molotov cocktails at police at FGR headquarters – El Sol de México

At least 14 policemen from the Secretariat of Citizen Security were injured after being hit by rockets thrown by Ayotzinapa normalistas who demonstrated in the vicinity of the Attorney General’s Office (FGR)

The act that took place in total calm for about two hours was suddenly culminated when the normalistas began to throw stones and rockets at the unit and the more than 200 elements deployed to protect the facilities.

This demonstration takes place within the framework of the eight years that will be celebrated next Monday of the disappearance of the 43 young people from the Normal Rural School “Raúl Isidro Burgos” of Ayotzinapa.

The Fire Department also arrived at the scene to remove a rocket that did not explode.

Prior to the attack, at the rally attended by around 850 normalistas and which closed the road at the Glorieta de los Insurgentes, the normalistas requested the resignation of the FGR, Alejandro Gertz Manero, whom they demanded to give them information about the progress of the investigations.

The foregoing, since a month after the arrest of the former Attorney General of the Republic, Jesús Murillo Karam, no details have been provided, so they considered that it was only a media capture.

Yesterday, on the second day of demonstrations in Mexico City, normalistas protested in front of the Israeli Embassy in Mexico to request the extradition of Tomás Zerón de Lucio, former head of the Criminal Investigation Agency and one of the men in charge of the investigation of the Ayotzinapa case during the administration of Enrique Peña Nieto.

There, accompanied by the parents, the young people painted and broke security cameras. Today Ambassador Zvi Tal rejected the “traumatic event” and announced that he will implement legal actions while the request is being examined.

“We share the pain of the relatives of the Ayotzinapa normalistas and we respect the commitment of the highest Mexican authorities to bring to light the truth about this case. However, Israel as a state of law must implement its international legal obligations while examining the request required by Mexico,” he warned.
