On their day of protests prior to the eighth anniversary of the disappearance of the 43 normalistas from Ayotzinapa, their colleagues from the “Raúl Isidro Burgos” Rural Normal are protesting this Friday at Military Field 1 in Mexico City.
“It was the Army”, “Assassins, we are missing 43”, are some of the paintings that several young people have made on the façade of the military camp.
It is the third demonstration this week by the Ayotzinapa normalistas.
On Wednesday they protested in front of the Israeli Embassy in Mexico to request the extradition of Tomás Zerón de Lucio, former head of the Criminal Investigation Agency and one of the men in charge of the investigation of the Ayotzinapa case during the administration of Enrique Peña Nieto.
There, accompanied by their parents, the young people painted and broke security cameras, to which the Israeli ambassador in Mexico rejected the “traumatic event.”
“We share the pain of the relatives of the Ayotzinapa normalistas and we respect the commitment of the highest Mexican authorities to bring to light the truth about this case. However, Israel as a state of law must implement its international legal obligations while it examines the request required by Mexico,” the diplomat warned.
Yesterday, in their demonstration in front of the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) things got out of control and the students threw stones and rockets at the police guarding the headquarters, leaving 11 elements injured.
