In 2022, the Russian Aerospace Forces will receive new Su-57 fighters. They are in a high degree of readiness and will enter the troops in the near future. In the future, the pace of production of this military aircraft will be increased. This was announced on Thursday, September 22, at the state corporation Rostec.

According to the corporation, the general director of Rostec, Sergey Chemezov, visited KnAAZ im. Gagarin, where the production of Su-57 fighters is currently underway. “The enterprise is working to increase the production of these aircraft under a contract between the UAC and the Russian Defense Ministry, a new batch of fighters will be delivered to the troops in the near future,” Rostec said.

Chemezov emphasized the importance of increasing the production of the Su-57 and said that the manufacturing plant is being actively modernized and expanded. To date, the company is loaded with orders until 2028, transmits RIA News.

It is planned to increase the production of fifth-generation fighters through the introduction of modern production methods, the construction of new facilities and the acquisition of modern equipment. In the future, the plant is expected to build a new building for the Su-57 at the flight test station. In addition, the reconstruction of capacities for machining and heat treatment will be carried out. The importance of attracting personnel is also noted, they are already trying to create the necessary conditions, for example, to raise salaries.

Earlier it was reported that by the end of 2022 tests run out air-to-air missiles for the Su-57 fighter. We are talking about short-range and medium-range missiles.

Su-57 is the first Russian fifth-generation fighter. The aircraft is distinguished by low visibility for radars, has a supersonic cruising speed, can maneuver with high overloads and carry weapons in the internal fuselage compartments. The first flight of the Su-57 took place in 2010.
