ASTANA. KAZINFORM – To date, 59.5 billion tenge has been collected to the budget from 10 authorized economic operators as a result of inspections carried out as part of the execution of the instructions of the Head of State to ensure order at the customs border with China. This was reported by MIA “Kazinform” with reference to the press service of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance.
From February to May 2022, state revenue authorities conducted unscheduled on-site customs inspections in respect of 10 authorized economic operators.
According to the State Revenue Committee, authorized economic operators tried to evade payment of customs duties and taxes by understating the customs value of goods.
“Including due to self-payment, 56.9 billion tenge was collected, due to compulsory collection measures – 2.5 billion tenge,” the ministry clarified.
Based on the results of customs inspections, additional 107.7 billion tenge of customs payments, taxes and penalties were accrued.
