14-year-old teenager “mined” a school in Pavlodar region

PAVLODAR. KAZINFORM – A report about terrorists at the school was received by the Department of Emergency Situations of Pavlodar region. The police of the region established and detained a student of the school named after B. Momyshuly in the village of Border Guard in the city of Aksu, Kazinform reports with reference to Telegram- channel of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

A 14-year-old teenager is suspected of committing a deliberately false report of an act of terrorism. It is established that the minor argued with classmates. He admitted guilt.

On September 21, telephone number 112 of the Department of Emergency Situations of Pavlodar region received a message about a planted explosive device.

“There are terrorists in the secondary school named after Baurzhan Momyshuly at 27 Akademika Chokin Street,” the report said. Emergency services immediately went to the indicated address, and over a thousand students and 83 staff members were evacuated. Sappers worked on the spot, the school was inspected. “The explosive device was not found. On this fact, a pre-trial investigation has been launched under Article 273 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Measures are being taken to identify the person involved in this fact,” said Zhaskairat Kairov, First Deputy Head of the Pavlodar Region Department of the Interior.

The police reminds that a knowingly false report about an act of terrorism is a criminal offense, entails criminal liability and punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 5 years.
