120,000 people will go to military service as part of the autumn draft campaign. This is less than last year, but enough even when taking into account the events in Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense reports on September 22.
None of those drafted into the army will participate in hostilities in Ukraine, said Rear Admiral Vladimir Tsimlyansky, a spokesman for the Main Organizational and Mobilization Directorate of the General Staff of the RF Armed Forces. All conscripts will serve in Russia, and military personnel whose term of conscription has expired will calmly return home.
Full-time students will not be affected by conscription or partial mobilization. “Everyone calmly goes to classes, no one will call them up and mobilize them,” Tsimlyansky added.
