People’s Artist of Russia Valeria announced the cancellation of solo concerts. As the singer explained on her social networks on September 22, the events of yesterday prompted her to take such a step.
“My dear beloved viewers and listeners! Since yesterday, we have been living in a different reality, and I can’t force myself, forgetting about everything in the world, to give solo concerts, so I want to cancel all previously announced ones and I won’t plan them for the near future yet. I want to give music a holiday, joy, fun, but in today’s circumstances, it seems to me that this is not very appropriate, ”Valeria wrote on social networks.
She noted that she would continue to sing, but there would be no solo concerts yet – they were postponed until “better times”. Valeria expressed hope that the situation will change in the spring of 2023. In particular, the fact that the concert scheduled for April 21 in Moscow will still take place.
“In the meantime, please treat my decision with understanding. There will be more holidays in our lives!” Valeria added.
Valeria’s husband, producer Iosif Prigozhin, in a conversation with Fontanka, confirmed the authenticity of the recording.
“She thought for a long time. Well, she can’t accept flowers from the audience in such a situation. The concert is a holiday,” said Prigogine.
On September 21, Vladimir Putin announced a partial mobilization. About 300 thousand people will be mobilized. Defense Ministry clarifications on partial mobilization read here.
