Pasechnik to turn to Putin after referendum

Head of the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) Leonid Pasechnik following the results of the referendum will address the President of Russia Vladimir Putin. He stated this on the first day of voting on the entry of the LPR into the RF on the air of the TV channel “Russia-24”.

On Friday, September 23, in the Donetsk and Luhansk people’s republics, as well as in the Kherson region and in the liberated territories of the Zaporozhye region referendum voting begins on issues of joining Russia as subjects.

Voting will last until September 27 inclusive. At the same time, in the interests of public safety, in the first four days it will be possible to vote in the adjoining territories and during targeted bypasses of residents. Voting directly at the polling stations will open on September 27. In the LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson region, it will be held from 08:00 to 16:00, and in the DPR from 08:00 to 20:00.

“As the head of the republic, following the results of the referendum, I will appeal to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin with a request to consider the issue in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Russian Federation on accepting us into the Russian Federation,” said Pasechnik.
