Dmitry Medvedev urged not to scare Russia talking about hitting NATO on Crimea and in response to such statements threatened to respond with hypersonic weapons. He left such a message in his Telegram channel.
“Various retired idiots with generals’ stripes do not need to scare us with talk about a NATO strike on Crimea. Hypersound is guaranteed to be able to reach targets in Europe and USA much faster,” Medvedev warned.
He listed the results of the decisions of the President of Russia Vladimir Putinannounced on 21 September. According to Medvedev, referendums in the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, as well as Kherson and Zaporozhye regions on joining Russia will take place, and these territories will be accepted into the Russian Federation.
He assured that the protection of all the joined territories would be significantly strengthened by the Russian Armed Forces. As Medvedev noted, Russia announced that not only mobilization capabilities, but also any weapon, including strategic nuclear weapons and weapons based on new principles, could be used for such protection.
“But the Western establishment, in general, all citizens of the NATO countries need to understand that Russia has chosen its own path. There is no turning back,” Medvedev wrote.
