In Europe, there was a “hunger line”

Rising inflation in Europe led to the fact that the price of bread soared by 20%. This is a record high since December 2017, when Eurostat first published figures for this parameter. At the same time, it is noted that in different countries the data on price increases vary greatly. For example, in France, bread has risen in price by eight percent, in the Netherlands and Luxembourg by ten, and in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Croatia and Slovakia by about a third. Prices rose the most in Hungary – by 66%. In addition to pan-European factors, this is due to severe drought.
