Law enforcement officers began to detain participants of an unauthorized protest in Moscow. This is reported by the correspondent of RIA Novosti.
The journalist said that before that, the police called on the crowd to disperse and not disturb the order, and also warned that they might start arrests, since the protest was not sanctioned by the authorities.
The protesters ignored the demands of law enforcement officers, the correspondent adds, and the arrests began after one of them raised a poster.
Later, the journalist said, the detentions stopped, the police continued to call on citizens to disperse.
According to the Telegram channel Baza, the action takes place on the Old Arbat.
Earlier in the day, the Moscow prosecutor’s office reminded that participation in uncoordinated mass rallies could face liability, and Roskomnadzor warned the media about “immediate blocking” if false information about the mobilization process in Russia is disseminated on the Internet.
